Kevin Newton, Hill House
For horn and piano.
Hill House offers a retrospective look into the composer’s childhood. Each movement represents a time within any relationship: before you know a person, the time in which you know them, and the time after. Per the composer, “it is my desire that this piece will help young hornists to examine their lives and create space for expression of their life experiences, not just my own. I sought to create a piece that they could grow with and return to over the years, with changed perspective.”
